Memorable Numbers · AI receptionist for plumbers
Keep working.Let the enquiry come to you.
A caller needs a radiator replaced. You are under a sink. See how your receptionist turns the conversation into details you can act on.
Self-service setup. Trial eligibility and usage limits apply. Number rental and call charges are separate.
Not just “please call back”. Job. Postcode. Contact. Callback preference.
Take the setup tour — about 90 seconds
This is an example of the steps you will take. It does not change your account. Skip and return whenever you like.
1. Choose your business number
Create an account and choose an active Memorable Numbers number belonging to your business. Already have one? Select it during setup.
Review number rental and call charges before ordering. They are separate from the receptionist trial.
2. Tell it what your business does
Add your business name, services, service area, hours, greeting and approved answers. Save these details before testing.
Example: “We replace radiators and repair taps. Ask for the postcode, type of work and preferred callback time.”
These are fictional examples. Use only facts you want your callers to hear. The receptionist takes enquiries; your team confirms bookings and prices.
3. Verify and check trial access
Request trial access, save your initial settings and verify your caller-message email using the emailed code. For a new automatic trial, use your account email and the Live plan shown in setup.
Return to Trial access to run the eligibility check. Eligible requests can be approved online. If a check needs attention, follow the message shown there.
4. Try a caller’s question
Once access is approved, try a text conversation with your saved settings. Ask about a service you offer, then ask something you have not supplied an answer for.
Check that the reply uses your information and offers to take a message when it cannot answer. Edit, save and test again as needed. Text testing does not demonstrate the voice.
5. Review and activate
Prepare your saved settings, check the audio connection and review the exact trial limits and voicemail fallback. Activate only when you are ready to let it answer your number.
Saving or watching this tour does not enable calls. Activation requires your confirmation. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription.
6. Receive a useful enquiry
The receptionist collects the caller’s name, callback details and enquiry, then queues a message for your verified email address. Email delivery and device notifications can vary.
Review the enquiry and arrange the next step yourself. Return to setup to edit, test or pause answering. Your saved settings remain available when you come back.
To continue after a trial, review the paid month offered in your account. Accept its separate terms and pay through checkout. Paid minutes are added after payment is confirmed. Renew manually when you want another month; there is no automatic renewal.

A conversation becomes an enquiry. Illustrative example · scripted AI-generated voices · fictional caller details.
Play the example
Your business information. Your receptionist. Configure the services you offer, the questions to ask and where caller messages should go. The illustration shows an organised email: name and callback number are stored separately, with job details arranged within the message—not separate CRM fields.
Callback times are preferences, not bookings. Email-app notifications depend on device settings. A missed call does not necessarily mean a lost sale. This service does not promise bookings, dispatch, quotations or recovered revenue.
The recorded example uses Marin, the voice selected for our telephone demo, with a different caller voice. It is pre-generated speech, not a recording of the live telephone system; real responses and timing vary.

Read the examples without playing Radiator enquiry The AI receptionist answers with a recording notice. Alex asks for a planned radiator replacement, gives the fictional postcode M20 0ZZ, permits use of caller ID (0161 496 0123 in this example) and requests a callback today after 4 pm. The receptionist checks the details; Alex confirms. After a successful save, an enquiry email reaches the plumber.
Service question A caller asks about drains. The receptionist explains that Acme does not do drains, but does work on central heating, radiators, boilers and general domestic plumbing. The caller needs only a drain repair, so no contact details or enquiry are collected.
